Finance Manager Cantello Tayler Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join our client based in Camberley. Opportunity to join a well-established, growing and innovative business and advisory firm based in Camberley who provide advice and accounting solutions to help entrepreneurial and high growth businesses. Heading up the Business Services and Outsourcing team, reporting to the Directors, you will be responsible for all aspects of a portfolio of clients for whom they provide end to end services. This role is essential to meeting clients' evolving requirements, delivering long term sustainable value to businesses by providing a range of solutions and advice such as accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, management accounting and statutory accounts and self-assessment corporate and personal tax returns. The role is office based and working in a friendly team, as well as some independent tasks, and will be great for a driven, ambitious and versatile individual who is looking for their next challenge. The successful Finance Manager will be responsible for: Responsible for statutory accounts, corporation tax and personal tax returns, VAT returns, payroll and bookkeeping. Responsible for management reports (annual and monthly) which identify results, trends and forecasts. Assisting the Managing Director with all accounting operations including billing, cost accounting, stock and work in progress, cash flow and revenue recognition for a variety of clients. Ensuring quality control and ensuring Practice standards are upheld. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Examining all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies. Creating systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations. Streamlining accounting functions and operations. Supervising, managing and motivating outsource department team. Reporting to the Managing Director on a timely and accurate basis to allow them to present financial information to clients. Working with the Managing Director to develop systems to support our clients' businesses. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with a portfolio of clients, understanding their business and ensuring that all communications are conducted in a professional and timely manner and within budget. Following existing systems, updating them, and developing new ones as appropriate. Suggesting updates and improvements for accounting systems. Responsible for client portfolio, billing, budgets and WIP. Ad hoc advisory services. The Finance Manager will have: Excellent knowledge of Outlook/Microsoft packages. Highly IT literate. Must have worked with a variety of accounting software packages, be able to adapt quickly to new software, proficient in short cuts and navigating between screens and platforms whilst maintaining an exceptionally high degree of accuracy. Advanced Excel skills. Must be confident in using VLOOKUP, SUMIF and SUMIFS. ACA or ACCA Qualified (could be first role post qualification, depending on experience). Working in a busy, fast paced practice environment. Solid understanding of the key VAT rules as well as being proficient in VAT return preparation, review and submission. Previous experience working in public practice, and in an 'outsourced' finance function where regular contact is needed with your clients. Proficient in the preparation and review of statutory accounts under FRS 102 & FRS 105, personal, partnership and corporation tax returns, including some more complex cases. Managing a team and keeping tight control over daily workflows ensuring all deadlines and client needs are met.
