What You'll Do:
Manage the preparation and ensure the financial statements are prepared timely and in compliance with local GAAP Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts and other regulatory filings in line with the Companies Act and other local laws Co-ordinate and manage the local tax filing process with the global tax team, including review of submissions of corporate tax returns, VAT returns and other related tax filings Be the point of escalation for external auditors during the audit process, ensuring timely resolution of any issues raised Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international regulations such as the FCA requirements, SOX for US companies and keeping updated with any changes that may impact financial reporting requirements Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial reporting processes to drive efficiency Manage and develop one finance professional to ensure high-quality work and professional growth Build a relationship with the service centre to ensure efficient processing The ideal candidate:
Knowledge of local GAAP / IFRS (essential) and US-GAAP (desirable) Strong technical knowledge with regards to revenue recognition accounting policies Detail-oriented with a passion for ensuring accuracy, and strong analytical skills Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (essential) Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent international accounting qualification 4 years post qualified experience Hands-on experience with Oracle Financial Systems and Hyperion Financial Management
