In this role you will be a key member of the Business Transformation team with primary responsibility for providing the business with high quality financial insight on delivery of in-year and future year economic benefits of end-to-end programmes including developing robust business cases, regular performance analysis, Latest Views, Budgets and the five year Corporate Plan. In addition, you will provide ad hoc analysis for the Director of Finance, Commercial Finance Director and Programme Directors. More about the role Lead the financial performance of key growth initiatives in the Business Transformation programme, working closely with relevant Business partners to develop robust business cases which lead to material economic benefits across the retail P&L. Play a leadership role in steering and working groups providing financial support for business decision making process ensuring that the financial implications are fully understood. Support the end-to-end programme managing the relationships across Finance and the PMO providing organisational wide training where required. Support the business transformation team to deliver the corporate profitability benefits by providing ad hoc analysis as required. Responsible for managing relevant stakeholder groups, liaising regularly with relevant Finance teams and Business partners by leading finance end-to-end workstreams. Responsible for providing executive summaries to regular Business Performance Review forums and Operating Board meetings. Ensuring that the capital governance process is adhered to where appropriate by liaising with the Retail FP&A team with all spend remaining within Budget. Provide ad hoc analysis to the Director of Finance, Commercial Finance Director and the programme lead. Provide periodic updates to the Winning Availability programme ensuring that the programme remains on course to deliver anticipated benefits. Work with the Investor Relations team to provide external narrative with robust financials for end-to-end programmes. More about you Professional Accounting Qualification preferred (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). Post-qualification experience in a similar financial planning/partnering role (Retail industry a distinct advantage). Effective communicator with senior stakeholders, including audiences of varying financial and commercial acumen. Self-motivated team player, able to work autonomously. Ability to prioritise. Strong commercial acumen with a focus on driving excellent financial and commercial performance. Experience of maintaining strong financial controls. Committed to driving change. High level of drive and enthusiasm. Ability to work under pressure – providing accurate high quality work under tight deadline. Strong analytical skills – ability to focus on the key issues. Strategic perspective – understanding of the wider issues impacting corporate performance. Advanced excel modelling skills.
