Hutcheon Mearns have been engaged by a local construction business to source a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This role will be based in Elgin on either a full time or part time basis. This presents an excellent opportunity for Finance Managers with experience managing a small team to progress their career. Our client is offering a competitive salary and benefits package. This newly created role will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day accounting activities for the group and managing a small team. Reporting directly into the Managing Director, you will be a key member of the team with the ability to impact decision making and push through positive changes. To be considered, you will currently be an experienced Accountant or Finance Manager in an SME environment. The Opportunity

Preparation of monthly management accounts Preparation of intercompany group accounts Preparing year end accounts Cash Flow Forecasting Sales Ledger Consolidation Budget Forecasts, Actual v Budget WIP Management and Billing Banking Management Payment of Salaries and Suppliers PAYE/NI and VAT submissions Manage a team of two Background and Experience

Accountancy qualification or qualified by experience Experience of managing a finance function and ability to provide accounting support to the group Previous experience of managing a team Ability to implement changes Ability to be a team player Flexible approach to work Xero experience or similar Staff development experience Flexibility and Benefits
