TV Distribution licenses SPE content to broadcasters across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). It also licences content to third parties to provide to consumers via DVD, Blu-Ray, Video On Demand (VOD) and Electronic Sell Through (EST). This activity is supported by commercial teams operating out of the SPE offices across EMEA. The Finance Manager's role is to provide financial planning, analysis, partnering and insight to the TVD and Home Entertainment teams across EMEA. Working closely with the commercial teams, you will support key decision makers with information, analysis, advice, and tools available to make the best choices for SPE. This position will use these insights to make sure territories have ownership of a 50:50 forecast with all key planning assumptions understood by finance & non-finance collaborators. Excellent communication skills are key to work effectively with local commercial teams, other divisional finance members in the EMEA team, with Home Office Finance in Los Angeles, and with Global Financial Operations across multiple locations. Building relationships with non-finance collaborators, including Senior Vice Presidents, and confidentially aiding and influencing their decisions is essential for success in this role. What you'll do:

40% - Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting

Collaborate with territory commercial teams to produce 50:50 budgets, forecasts and MRPs for the EMEA TV Distribution P&L (Contribution and Overheads). Operational ownership of the forecast submission, ensuring the financial position communicated to Regional FP&A accurately reflects the aligned product assumptions and sales targets. Prepare and communicate concise and insightful management reporting that helps commercial teams and regional finance collaborators understand the forecast, key assumptions, and drivers of difference. Consolidate financial risks and opportunities to the current plan, through business partnering activities with the Sales and Sales Planning teams. 20% - Analysis & Support

Support a variety of collaborators in EMEA TV Distribution by providing customer-focused business analysis and active participation in important meetings. Build financial models to support commercial decision making. Support Executive Director with finance business partnering & governance for new deals across region. Drive additional value through insight led analytics, underpinned by knowledge of SPE’s commercial levers and the EMEA market. Collaborate with the business to choose and supervise the accurate metrics and measures to guide performance. 15% - Control and Risk Management

Monitor and appropriately challenge costs. Maintain effective controls and documentation of assumptions for all forecast, planning and reporting processes. Ensure the accuracy and efficacy of financial models in use by the commercial teams with reconciliation to actual financial results. Maintain a high understanding of commercial and financial risks. Advise, and where necessary challenge management. Become the key area of control in data management for the supported territories. Be a key liaison between EMEA TV Distribution Finance and other finance teams across SPE. Understand and improve SPE’s working capital position. Establish and ensure adherence to Sony accounting policies and IFRS. 15% - Projects and Continuous Improvement

Contribute to ad hoc projects (including the “3 Week Forecast” initiative) and ensure they reflect the needs of territory stakeholders. Continually work to drive efficiency through the elimination, standardization, optimization, automation and roboticization of processes and tasks. Improve forecasting accuracy. Be a SME on the implementation of system improvements. Embrace innovation by keeping up to date with advanced technology changes and applying them where appropriate. 10% - Self Development

Pro-actively manage strengths and development areas through an individual development plan, utilising training, coaching and on the job learning opportunities provided by SPE. What you have:

Professional certification (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA) preferred Ideally 3-5 years Commercial Finance/FP&A experience SAP, Essbase, Excel, PowerPoint, Word Knowledge of IFRS and understanding of key financial analysis techniques such as investment appraisal The listening, coaching, collaboration, and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at different levels The emotional intelligence to appropriately challenge stakeholders and to balance the needs of competing stakeholders The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
