Managing the financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems including the production of monthly Management Accounts pack and financial commentary, VAT returns, and Intrastat. Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and forecasting. Analysing change and providing marketplace and trend analysis. Managing budgets and reporting variances. Reconciling the bank accounts. Liaising with auditors and preparation for the annual audit. Managing the payroll function for the company and ensuring full compliance with all payroll-related matters. Managing AP and AR staff (currently 3 in total) ensuring that payments are made to suppliers and received from customers according to payment terms. Credit management including setting up accounts, credit risk and assessment, escalation of aged debt matters. Managing & improving system processes within the business. You must be a qualified accountant with a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and be experienced in a broad range of financial and management accounting including analysis. Your knowledge of MS Office products, especially Excel (pivot tables; formulas; V-lookups) will be important, and knowledge of SAP is beneficial. Ability to prioritise workloads and work well under pressure will be expected, as well as having some exposure to leading a team. Excellent communication skills and the ability to business partner across the company with a positive, pro-active manner is also essential.
