Finance Manager

Salary Starting from £40,000 pa
Full Time Monday to Friday Office Based 9am to 5pm
Are you a fully qualified AAT Finance Manager with at least 3 years Management Accounting experience?
Our client based in Benfleet is looking to hire an experienced Finance Manager to join their team at their head office. You must be able to demonstrate previous experience within Finance and have knowledge of payroll, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, profit & loss, external audits, cost controls, compliance, and VAT, along with a strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 4 years UK-based work experience.
Main duties
Supporting the Finance Director in managing the finance department
Managing the accounts payable process
Overseeing the weekly payment runs, both GBP and foreign currencies
Preparing monthly management accounts
Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT Returns
Assisting the Financial Director with:
all aspects of budgeting and forecasting; including Cashflow and P&L
property and overhead cost analysis and implementing cost-saving initiatives throughout the company
the year-end audit - liaising with external auditors and tax advisors
renewal of maintenance and energy contracts
Providing support and cover to the payroll department as and when required
Requirements
Qualified accountant ideally AAT or similar with at least 3 years management accounting experience
Payroll experience is preferable
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven experience in driving cost controls and compliance within a business
The ability to think logically as well as provide solutions to complex problems
Advanced Microsoft Excel experience is essential
