FINANCE MANAGER Reports to: Financial Controller JOB PURPOSE/PRIMARY OBJECTIVE Accurate and timely reflection of the business activities according to the agreed accounting standards. Identifying areas of strengths and improvement opportunities. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Preparation & completion of the accounting month end process with the output of management accounts & variance analysis. Prepare & process all month end journals, such as Prepayments/accruals/depreciation. Monthly reconciliation and closing of COS, absorption & post related entries. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations – FA, Inventory & Intercompany. Maintain fixed asset register. Preparation of weekly 13-week cashflow forecast. Preparation of labour efficiency reporting. Preparation and execution of Qtly cost roll process (materials, labour & overheads). Preparation and submission of statutory returns (VAT). AX System maintenance – WO close (daily), FX rates, period close. Year end audit – assist in the preparation of year end audit file. Payroll – Support the internal processing performed on Sage payroll. Pensions – Support to internal processing of pension administration. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Qualified or Part-Qualified (In final year of exams). 5+ years accounting experience – preparation of a trial balance & management accounts. Advanced Excel skills – vlookups, iferror, graphs etc. ERP System understanding – Microsoft AX Dynamics used. DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 5+ years’ experience within an accountancy practice. 5+ years’ experience within a manufacturing company. Working with multi-currency transactions. QUALIFICATIONS Qualified or Part-qualified (In final year of exams). IT skills. Advanced Excel skills. PERSONAL QUALITIES/ATTRIBUTES Ability to work accurately to committed timelines. High level of organisational and planning skills. Problem solving and analytical capability. Would suit someone previously within an accountancy practice looking to move into Industry.
