Central Support, Hemel Hempstead with some travel to our beautiful parks What we need, in a nutshell: An exciting opportunity where in this role, you will have a broad and varied remit which will include all aspects of the day to day running of the finance reporting function of Away Resorts. You will champion robust financial controls to safeguard the business and the integrity of the financial results. Who are we? Key responsibilities: Responsible for elements of the Record to Report process of Away Resorts. Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and systems to deliver a robust financial reporting function. Act as a key stakeholder and support Finance transformation, specifically for the introduction of new reporting tools and system developments to drive automation and reduce risk. Contribute to the preparation of robust set of accounts ensuring financial accuracy and adherence to accounting standards. Prepare group month end results in accordance with the timetable. Preparation of statutory accounts and make recommendations for processes improvements. Support year end audit, VAT returns and preparation of Corporation tax computations. Development of direct reports to ensure there is depth of talent across the function enabling rotation and progression. Build excellent working relationships across FP&A, Central Support, and the wider business, gaining acceptance as a highly collaborative and results oriented professional. Maintain high standards of reporting accuracy across the financial statements to ensure financial performance can be analysed and understood. Support the preparation of Balance Sheet and working capital commentary vs target to ensure the working capital position is understood and clear actions can be identified. Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need: Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent). Proven at having led finance teams across all facets of the function, with a proven track record in a high growth environment. Previous experience in financial reporting and controls in medium to large sized business. Excellent communicator to explain accounting in clear & concise manner to stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure, providing accurate high-quality work under tight deadlines. Strong organisational and analytical skills.
