Finance Manager – Retail/E-Commerce Business Location: Manchester Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 Forge Talent is excited to partner with a dynamic and growing retail e-commerce business in Manchester. With a turnover of £22 million, this business is at the forefront of its market, offering the opportunity for a driven and hands-on Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in its success. This is not just a numbers role—it’s a chance to be the right-hand person to the CFO, acting as a true No. 2. You’ll have the autonomy to drive improvements, lead a small team, and provide commercial insights to support the business’s continued growth. Salary & Benefits: £50,000 - £60,000 25 Days Paid Holiday + Bank Holidays Hybrid working Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Prepare management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, delivering insights to senior stakeholders. Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of efficiency and development. Partner with operational teams to analyse performance and identify opportunities for growth. Manage cash flow, working capital, and balance sheet reconciliations. Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements, driving efficiencies across finance. What We’re Looking For: A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong hands-on experience. Will also consider QBE A track record of success in fast-paced environments, ideally within retail or e-commerce. Excellent leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. A proactive mindset with a focus on driving change and adding value. Experience in SMEs, with the ability to manage diverse responsibilities.
