An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager within British Gas Services & Solutions (c3m customers) supporting our Home Protection Portfolio with a focus on the regulated insurance entities BGIL/BGSL. The role offers great exposure to senior stakeholders working closely with the S&S CFO and CRO through monthly Board Reporting, Forecasting and Performance Reviews as well as supporting across our regulatory requirements (PRA, FCA). Location - Windsor or Stockport with a flexible mix of office and home working Accountabilities General Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in the business and Finance Operations/Group. Understand and help shape the business strategy and own its translation into financial impacts for the Home Protection area. Develop deep understanding of key drivers of revenue and costs, cashflow, and risks and opportunities. Support the wider finance team and business by providing robust insight and analysis to drive improvements in financial performance. Support Transformation activities through design and delivery of changes to forecasting/reporting methodologies. Co-ordinate the production of standard finance deliverables to the agreed format, timeline and quality. Act as part of the first line of defence in the identification and management of risks. Plan and Monitor the Business Regularly review and report performance against Group Annual Plan & latest forecast. Deliver an accurate, efficient and transparent plan/forecast. Translate financial business performance into clear reporting content. Provide Decision Support Support and influence decisions, empowering the business to self-serve appropriate data. Carry out non-standard/bespoke analysis to support business decision making. Identify performance improvement interventions and design means of implementing associated changes. Support the senior management in reviewing investments and develop means of articulating value of investment. Experience and Qualifications Previous commercial finance experience in a large organisation including: Communication of analysis and insight across the business. Commercial Finance/Business Partnering Experience. Excellent commercial acumen and a strategic thinking. Strong communication, capable of building trust and influencing decision making.
