Hutcheon Mearns is delighted to be exclusively retained by an exciting, high-growth business within the Renewable Energy Sector to appoint a Finance Manager working remotely. The Opportunity

Our client is a leading provider of renewable energy solutions. The company has experienced rapid growth since its inception and has a clear plan to treble its size within the next three years. To support this ambitious growth, the business has began building the infrastructure to support which has led to the Finance Manager position being created.

Currently, the finance function is outsourced, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to shape the future of the finance department by implementing new processes in collaboration with the senior management team.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and executing robust financial strategies. Leading comprehensive budgeting and forecasting processes. Providing detailed financial analyses and actionable recommendations. Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting standards. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks to the business. Optimising working capital to meet operational and strategic needs. Taking a hands-on approach as finance operations transition in-house. Presenting financial data and insights to senior management and the board of directors. Implementing processes and procedures to control the financial position. Creating financial models and business process templates. Background and Experience

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in financial management, including budgeting, audit processes, and financial controls. They will possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights.

Key qualifications and personal attributes include:

Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is essential. Demonstrated experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role within a high-growth, dynamic environment. In-depth knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and forecasting. Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills. Experience in the renewable energy or technology sector is advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. Proven ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. Flexibility and Benefits

The Finance Manager position offers the following package:
