We're working with one of Saffron Walden's most well-known consumer brands as they seek an

Accounts Manager

to manage their accounts. The ideal candidate will have a solid working history, must be happy working full time at their office in Saffron Walden, based no further than 1 hour's drive away, and ideally be fully ACCA qualified, or at a minimum to a high level. While it's not a hybrid role, there can be some flexibility in hours to start or finish later.

This is a retail business, so you must have experience managing the accounts for a business that holds stock, either as a manufacturer or reseller, with industry experience being less important. The company uses Sage 200, but while experience in this or standard Sage would be beneficial, it's not essential.

Your Responsibilities:

Managing an Accounts Assistant Day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes Producing monthly management accounts / Year Ends / Audit Requirements VAT & environmental returns Monthly payroll data Accruals, calculations, and postings Ledger and bank reconciliation Sales and purchase ledger processing
