I am delighted to now be recruiting a Finance Manager position for a well-known, fast-growing household retail brand, with Head Offices based in South Leeds.

This opportunity is newly created due to the business' continued growth and UK expansion, and will report directly to the Financial Controller, overseeing 2-3 team members.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing key financial processes, including payroll reviews, month-end close, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. The role will also involve acting as a business partner to various central functions, building strong relationships, and understanding how to support business decisions.

The role is varied and hands-on, offering fantastic exposure to both core accounting and commercial finance - it would therefore be ideally suited to someone part qualified/finalist or fully qualified with a good grounding in management accounts, looking to take the next step up in their career to a Finance Manager role!

The key duties of this role will include: Lead the month-end management accounts process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations Analyse P&L variances to support commentary and recommendations Review monthly payroll to ensure accurate payment, check payroll reports and resolve any discrepancies with the People Team Manage a team of 2 in the AP and AR functions, ensuring efficient processing and accurate record-keeping Act as the finance business partner to central functions such as the People Team, IT and Operations Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial plans Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required Be a key player in the annual statutory audit The successful candidate will: Be part Qualified, Finalist or Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA - Essential Have strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards - Essential Have previous experience of people management/supervision - Desirable Previous knowledge of Sage 50/200 - Desirable What’s on Offer: On-site parking and catering Hybrid working ACCA/CIMA study package (if required) Career progression opportunity with a fast-growing business Medicash Health and wellbeing initiatives
