The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated, pro-active, and flexible individual, seeking a role in which to develop their own accounting skills whilst making a positive contribution to the department. They should have excellent communication and technical skills and be able to address both financial and non-financial audiences. Good time management and organisational skills are essential.
Hybrid working possible after the initial training period that would be office-based. At key times in the financial calendar, the role would be office-based and flexible team working required.
Main duties of the job
This is a varied and challenging role in a complex and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be required to manipulate and report complex financial data and have a profound understanding of technical accounting requirements, and co-ordinate the monthly reporting of Financial Services areas, and the annual reporting cycle and adhering to departmental processes and national timetables.
