Our Children's Services directorate plays a crucial role in supporting the well-being and development of children and young people in our area. As a Finance Officer in our Finance Team, you will play a key role in supporting our finance operations to contribute to the delivery of Children’s Services by ensuring financial processes run smoothly and efficiently. About the role Reporting to the Assistant Director – Children’s Services Finance, you will provide operational and transactional finance support to the finance teams. Your role will be crucial in maintaining and updating financial databases to ensure accurate and efficient record-keeping. You will be responsible for leading the management of the voucher mailbox, coordinating voucher issuance, and resolving all related queries promptly. In your day-to-day role, you will be handling sensitive information data with a firm understanding of the client groups, and the impact that the finance service can have on outcomes for vulnerable children. Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience Highly organised with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience in financial administration and database management. Detail-oriented and passionate about maintaining precise financial record-keeping. Experience of managing workflows and resolving queries with efficiency and professionalism.
