We’re truly committed to building a diverse and representative workforce and as part of our strategic plans we are aiming to accelerate gender and ethnic representation in leadership. As such we would particularly welcome applications from people who are female and/or are from Black, Asian and other ethnic minority backgrounds. Job title:

Finance Officer (Estates and Facilities Asset systems) Job Description: What you’ll be doing: Assisting the Estates and Facilities team in day to day management of obtaining documentation for requisitioning, cost management, orders and invoicing for both income and expenditure, as well as calculating and reviewing the occupancy ratio and % relating to these for the sites with the team. Verifying costs and share of costs for the NHS Trust to their landlords for payment, and to the tenants and occupiers of the sites for charging.

Relationship management between the client and other key business stakeholders, and Capita Local Government Business Services and its delivery partners.

Working with colleagues and between Capita and the client Trust on budgets, reporting, analysis, and ordering, effective coding and helping collate financial and occupancy dates and space records for the same.

Oversight and understanding of the transactional processes within the department ensuring that all participants understand fully their part in a process and are able to execute their role and responsibilities to meet agreed expectations.

Co-ordination of daily and periodic activities, prompting, reminding and liaising with delivery partners, to ensure tasks are delivered to plan and agreed deadlines are met.

Resolution of queries and the identification and prevention of potential issues before they arise.

Proactive identification of changes in business needs and opportunities for continuous improvement in the delivery of the service.

Work in collaboration with the Trust and Estates to meet their requirements whilst ensuring the integrity of the contract is upheld.

What we’re looking for: Broad experience and/or understanding of working in a transactional finance function.

Understanding of how a transactional department such as Estates and Facilities function in a public sector organisation may operate and its relationship with a wider finance function.

Solid MS Excel and information presentation skills.

Demonstrable track record of developing and maintaining strong professional relationships at all levels.

Evidence of success in influencing, leading, supporting and motivating stakeholders to achieve agreed outcomes.

Strong analysis and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and a willingness to challenge.

Experience of using financial systems and automation to improve operational efficiencies such as ordering systems and software for property management as examples.

Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively to meet tight deadlines.

Sound knowledge of budgets, ordering and requisitioning and finance systems for procurement/invoicing.
