Essential experience: Finance Operations/Financial Control (Financial Services adv.)
Pear Talent is representing an established Financial Services business who have an excellent opportunity for a Finance Operations Manager. You’ll deputise for the Head of Finance Operations, managing and developing a team which owns daily finance operations and monthly finance functions including processing invoices, approving payments, treasury operations, journal entries into the GL, balance sheet reconciliations and management reporting.
You’ll be expected to oversee, lead and mentor junior team members, as well as partner across the business with key stakeholders.
Key accountabilities:
Maintain the integrity and accuracy of all financial information. Investigate issues and problems with the general ledger and feeds into the GL (eg. policy administration systems, expenses, procurement, investment systems, etc).
Support Finance systems upgrades and improvements.
Oversee payments out, invoicing, expenses, and treasury operations.
Support investment operations processes (incl. unit pricing) as required.
Manage submission of operational tax returns including quarterly VAT returns, annual PRAS claims, and PSA returns.
Support the FP&A team with expense reporting and budgeting as required.
Maintain process documentation for all processes within the financial control area highlighting key controls.
Monitor departmental risks and provide inputs into quarterly risk reporting.
Participate in projects as required by the business.
Line management of the Finance Control team.
Required experience:
Qualified accountant with demonstrable experience in financial control / financial operations, ideally gained within Financial Services.
