Job Description: Job Summary We are looking for a financial specialist to join the Finance team in UPS, Staines-Upon-Thames. We support managers in the UK, Nordics & Ireland (UKIN) District, as well as in the EU Region HQ, in their decision-making by reporting, analysing and planning (financial) data, creating insights, drawing conclusions and shaping thought processes. Working in this position will give you fantastic insights into the operations of the world’s largest parcel delivery company.

What you'll do: Data Analysis: Querying various internal and external data sources

Analyzing the gathered data for patterns, trends and insights

Performing variance analysis of actual versus planned data/previous periods to identify areas where targeted projections are not being obtained.

Concluding and formulating tangible recommendations

Reporting: Running, analyzing and creating periodical managerial reports and packs

Improving and optimizing reporting and planning processes

Building presentations that inform the target audience in a concise and structured manner about the outcome of the analyses and the implications for the business.

Support Business Plan cycle

across functions in UK

Maintain and improve reporting processes

in UK/UKIN to ensure accuracy and efficiency

Liaising with different departments

across UK to provide financial support and ensure financial deliverables

You are somebody with: 2-3 years relevant experience in Finance function

A university degree in a related subject (Finance, Economics, etc.)

Experienced with financial reporting, variance analysis and budgeting processes

Ambitious, career-minded person

Outstanding productivity

Creative and logical thinker

Structured approach; process oriented; able to prioritize

Deductive reasoning skills; able to translate findings into conclusions and recommendations

Strong work ethic and high degree of accuracy; eye for detail; accountable

Perform well under pressure; ability to meet tight & continuous deadlines

Able to build strong relationships with both internal and external business partners

Excellent skills in MS Office Pack: Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word

Familiarity with VBA and SQL is a plus

Excellent presentation and writing skills
