How you'll make a difference You will lead a team responsible for the delivery of all Finance change projects, but will also have oversight of BAU, so will need to have a strong Accountancy background as well as process and systems change experience. We have a large and exciting transformation strategy which is well underway; this role will be instrumental in supporting us to deliver change at pace and achieve the outcomes set out by the specific project initiatives. Your Responsibilities: Scope and oversee the process design, testing and deployment of all Finance change, ensuring change is properly embedded and end user experience is high-quality. Identify and drive opportunities to increase automation, streamline/improve processes and reporting, improve accuracy and reduce waste/failure demand. Lead a team of 4 Systems and Project Accountants in their BAU and in delivering change initiatives impacting the Finance Division. Coach the team in good change management and ensure that the team have the capability and are motivated to meet project outcomes at pace. Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders including the Finance Senior Leadership team and senior Change stakeholders ensuring in-bound change roadmap is properly understood so the team can be appropriately resourced. Act as the overall subject matter expert on key financial systems. Accountable for the General Ledger including OeBS month end close down process and static data maintenance (general ledger accounts, cost centres, cross validation rules, financial calendars and supplier records). What you'll bring to the role: Significant accountancy experience, ideally part or fully qualified, with experience of leading change in Financial Services. Excellent understanding of Finance Operations, including payments, finance systems, and processes. Has successfully led the implementation of Financial Systems, ideally cloud-based software. Ability to think wider than Finance and understand how changes to Finance systems impact other stakeholders. Experienced people manager with the ability to coach, develop and build capability especially on change practices. Sharing knowledge and experience of successful Finance change projects. Ability to learn quickly, set ambitious targets and adds pace to delivery. Effective communicator with the ability to present clear messages to a variety of audiences. Evidence of thought leadership and creativity, confident in working through periods of uncertainty and working constructively with others to reach solutions on complex issues and expertly resolving blockers to keep delivery on track.
