Key Responsibilities
-Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements -Compliance: Ensure all financial practices adhere to UK GAAP and IFRS standards -Audit Support: Act as a key contact for external auditors, ensuring audit requirements are met smoothly and on time -Reconciliations & Variance Analysis: Conduct reconciliations, investigate variances, and provide detailed analysis to support financial insights -Tax & Regulatory Filings: Assist with VAT, corporation tax, and other regulatory filings in compliance with UK standards -Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline finance operations and enhance reporting accuracy
Requirements
Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified Experience: Proven experience in financial accounting, ideally within a large or mid-sized organization Knowledge of Standards: Strong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS standards Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail with an ability to interpret and analyse complex financial data Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Excel and financial software; experience with ERP systems is a plus
