Financial Accountant, Charity, Yorkshire c£36k A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Finance professional to join this Christian Charity as their Financial Operations Team Accountant. The charity has been providing excellent service for over 25 years and the role requires a qualified / part-qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and will lead their Charity Finance Team, within Finance Operations, as they automate processes, implement and maximise new tech systems and develop better data and reporting capabilities. This role is responsible for managing the Charity Finance Team; and preparation, development and analysis of financial accounting information, financial statements, regulatory reporting and financial controls. You will provide leadership and expertise across Monthly Accounts and Management Information, Financial Processes and Controls, Year End Accounts / Statutory Audit, Data and Systems Development and a variety of other financial systems and processes. Skills and experience: Essential o Minimum 3 years experience within a finance/accountancy environment o Experience of preparing statutory accounts o Experience of managing cash flow and working capital o Experience of leading teams to meet key objectives or targets Desirable o Experience of line-managing a team o Experience of charity accounting o Experience of reviewing controls & processes o Experience of installing/upgrading accounting systems Skills/Abilities: Excellent technical finance and accounting knowledge Excellent communicator and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing Ability to lead a team in actively promoting the cultural values of the organisation Significant understanding of financial control and risk The ability to be decisive, proactive and use initiative Strong excel skills and use of data manipulation tools Ability to prioritise and manage own workloads, be organised, have a flexible working style and enjoy working to tight deadlines Possess a problem solving, analytical mindset with a high level of attention to detail The role is a hybrid remote working / office-based with the ability to visit their Yorkshire based offices for a minimum of 2 days a week and offers a salary up to around £36k + a great benefits package.
