An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Finance department for a Financial Accountant. Our aim is to provide high quality affordable homes and services to our customers. To deliver this, the Group has an operating expenditure in excess of £40 million. We require a professional and customer focused individual to manage the financial accounting activities related to the housing fixed assets component accounting, and support with the statutory accounts services across the Group. You would be working as part of the Finance Team in an important role, reporting to the Financial Compliance & Control Manager, delivering professional and customer focused finance services to the Group. If you can demonstrate the following experience, then we want to hear from you! Lead on the delivery of the Component capitalisation process and day to day monitoring of the Fixed Asset Register for our 11,000 homes and circa £23m Investment Programme expenditure. Have the confidence and competence to bring together lead officers from across the business to deliver a cohesive review process as necessary. Accuracy and transparency are critical dimensions of the role, therefore a keen eye for detail and an inquisitive nature are required to ensure all records stand up to scrutiny. Excellent planning and time management skills to deliver smooth and timely processes in line with deadlines. Strong accountancy skills to support statutory account and reconciliation work. This role has been identified as suitable for hybrid working, which will be a combination of home working and working from our offices with Head office at Craven Arms, and travel to other offices as required.
