Position Overview
The Financial Reporting Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the company's finance & accounting functions are properly managed and that all internal and external reporting requirements are met on a timely basis. The role will support broad company initiatives and interact with key internal and external stakeholders.
This role involves supporting on the year-end closing and audit process alongside the wider financial and statutory reporting requirements of the EMEA business. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Duties Supporting the regional Financial Controllers in the planning, preparation, and delivery of statutory accounts to agreed timetables. Preparation of group reporting packs for entities across EMEA, including balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Support on the preparation and review of standalone statutory financial statements. Completing key account reconciliations to review and clear balance sheet control accounts on a monthly basis, including payroll and Intercompany accounts, and maintaining appropriate documentation to support the audit. Job Requirements
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Strong technical accountancy skills (UK GAAP & IFRS preferred, German GAAP a bonus). Ability to work quickly to a high level of accuracy with attention to detail. Ability to communicate and build relationships effectively across all areas of the business. Self-starter, ability to work independently, problem solve, and drive projects to completion. Results driven, ability to deliver to tight deadlines in a fast-paced business. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, strongly preferred. Able to plan, organize, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate internally with team members as well as externally with vendors and other service providers. Ability to work on a hybrid basis; 3 days in the office as a minimum. We operate with No Ego and No Arrogance.
