The Employer: We are looking to fill the role of
Financial Accountant
within a housing environment. As well as meeting housing demand, our client aims to enable local companies to recruit the workforce they need from their communities. The Role: Lead on the monthly preparation of the Group's Statement of Financial Position Oversight of the Group VAT return, ensuring accountability and compliance Provide technical expertise to support the production of the annual financial accounts Key role in the production of the annual business plan process Assisting with the smooth running of internal and external audits
The Candidate should have: Experience using complex accounting systems The ability to prepare statutory accounts Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications in a business environment, particularly Excel A CCAB qualification (ICAEW / ACCA / CIPFA / ICAS), with post qualification experience Capable of working under pressure, prioritising effectively, delivering to tight deadlines with good attention to detail A very positive attitude and approach Experience of maintaining nominal ledgers and implementing financial controls and procedures Line management experience, including colleague development and motivation Background in social housing or a related sector, its regulatory environment and housing finance
SUMMARY: This is a permanent role. Hybrid working style is an option, 2-3 days office based. Working from Exeter or Weston-Super-Mare Offices.
