The role:

The Financial Accountant is an interim position to support the School’s Finance Department. This is a varied role that includes day-to-day operations within the Harrow School Finance department, assisting the Financial Controller with VAT and tax compliance, cash management and forecasting, together with ensuring compliance with other regulatory matters. The role will report to the Director of Finance and will be supported by the School’s taxation and other professional advisers. There could be flexibility around the days and times the work is undertaken; in turn flexibility will be required to support other workstreams of the finance team at busy times. The skills:

As a supportive team member with an ability to work in different areas of the finance specialism, you will be flexible to assist the team with funds/asset management, cashflow and monthly accounts processes when they have busy workloads. Using your pragmatic business experience and initiative you will enjoy involving yourself in interesting financial projects for the School to support business improvement. The benefits

Harrow School is situated in Harrow on the Hill, northwest London, and is one of the best-known schools in the world. Around 835 boys study at Harrow and live in the School’s 12 boarding houses. The Finance department consists of the Director of Finance, the Financial Controller and approximately seven other staff.
