Your new company Our client is recruiting a Financial Accountant to work closely with the Financial Controller, 2 days in the office, rest remote.

Your new role You will be a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to assist in managing the financial accounting processes. You will be involved in preparing cash flow and cash forecasts, monthly key balance sheet reconciliations (including payroll control and other control/suspense accounts), and statutory annual accounts. You will assist in managing the audit process and relationships with auditors, oversee the financial accounting system, and review finance policies and procedures, developing new processes as needed. You will also act as the insurance lead and assist in tax management. You will prepare and review FRS and Charity SORP reporting and technical accounting papers, liaise with auditors on technical accounting issues, and improve the billing process within the Finance department. Additionally, you will manage the completion of National Statistics returns, undertake ad-hoc projects as identified by senior finance leaders, and participate in system and process design assignments related to finance systems.

What you'll need to succeed You will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Accountant with good technical accounting knowledge, including accounting standards and statutory accounts. A proven track record of implementing and improving controls and processes, along with good Excel skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll get in return Salary £48000 - £50000 plus pension & generous holiday, 2 days in the office, 3 days remote, 35 hour week.
