Sharp Consultancy are currently working in partnership with one of the top employers across Yorkshire to help them appoint a Financial Accountant into their team. This is a business that has international presence, with a centralised Shared Service Centre in Leeds, large group Finance team with lots of future opportunity to accelerate your career.

Responsibilities:

Delivering and preparing Group management accounts at month and year end Preparation of Statutory Accounts for a variety of group entities under both FRS and IFRS Preparation and completion of core balance sheet reconciliations and controls Ensure delivery of month end Group results providing comprehensive analysis, reporting and raising any issues where appropriate Full ownership of Balance Sheet, ensuring all balances are validated. Strong monthly focus on Fixed Assets and valuations Liaison with all areas of finance as appropriate Be a key member of the audit and work closely with the external auditors Statutory Accounts preparation from TB through to word document Preparation of monthly results pack, quarterly Financial Management Accounts, balance sheet summary Balance Sheet reporting, reconciliations and controls specifically debt and provisions Ensure all P&L and Balance Sheet accounts fully reconciled appropriately Ensure all monthly journals are authorized and posted Reconcile and maintain key balance accounts, including Fixed Assets, debtors, accruals, prepayments, provisions etc Continuous process improvement of current processes Active involvement in finance projects

Minimum Requirements:

Strong career achievement in a similar role within a fast paced environment or experience in Professional Practice. Strong computer literacy skills. Excellent communication skills. A proactive and positive attitude.
