Our client, an investment trust company, is looking for an Interim Financial Accountant to join their team for an initial period of 6 months. The successful candidate will have strong experience in management and financial accounting and is available for a January start.
Description
The responsibilities of the Financial Accountant include but are not limited to:
Preparation and posting of monthly journals e.g. corporate expenses, prepayments and accrued income, accruals and deferred income, payroll, recharges, fixed assets.
Produce monthly schedule breakdowns of key balance sheet items i.e. prepayments, accruals.
Bank reconciliations and cash postings.
Assist with the running of the monthly revaluation and reconciliation process to ensure corporate GL accurately reflects investment transaction system.
Assist with the production of net asset schedule for monthly group consolidated position.
Assist with the production of monthly Factsheet for release to the market.
Assist with the preparation of group subsidiary statutory accounts.
Provision of data to auditors throughout year-end and interim audits.
Assistance to FP&A when identifying variances of actuals versus budget and forecast.
Assistance to Investments teams, providing relevant analysis.
Provision of support to Tax department in relation to analysis of P&L items and VAT.
Completion of national statistic questionnaires.
Ad-hoc external submissions of data.
Skills
The skills of the Financial Accountant include but are not limited to:
Part qualified accountant or working towards (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Experience in corporate financial and management reporting.
Experience in asset management or alternative investments (desirable).
NetSuite (desirable).
