About the Role
We are looking for a Financial Accountant to support the growth aspirations of our Plymouth based client by working closely with your team, wider finance and non-finance teams also.
In this role, you will:
Ensure statutory financial accounting is complete, effective, and compliant.
Maximise the company's financial position through best practices.
Oversee the day-to-day financial accounting activities, ensuring legal compliance.
Apply strong technical accounting knowledge and skills to drive improvement.
Demonstrate leadership and energy to guide us toward our goals while maintaining compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare statutory financial statements and VAT returns.
Maintain complex asset registers and balance sheet controls.
Prepare management accounts.
Ensure compliance with current and emerging accounting standards.
Manage and motivate the financial accounting team.
About the Candidate
Significant experience in an accountancy environment.
ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified preferable.
A good understanding of current and emerging accounting standards.
Experience in managing and motivating teams.
