JOB PURPOSE: • Working with the Group FC to deliver the financial management, business planning, and budgetary processes of DMG Events (UK) Ltd, DMG Asia, DMG Nigeria Events Ltd, and Middle East Energy Portfolio. • Working with the Group FC to provide and maintain a strong financial management and control environment with appropriate processes. • Collaborating with the GFC, financial/commercial finance teams, and commercial managers to implement and execute business strategy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Responsibility for monitoring monthly performance of overheads, investigating any variances to budget/forecast, and reporting them at month end. Preparation of monthly Flash report in a timely manner with commentary for review by Group FC. Providing quality, value-added commentary and analysis for budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting. In collaboration with the Commercial finance teams, preparation of weekly and monthly cashflow for the various entities with supporting assumptions and commentary on variances against budget and forecast. Ensuring that VAT regulations are complied with and reviewing all VAT returns as required. Production of accurate and timely budgeting and forecasting of overheads cost centres. Management and development of one team member. Involvement in all financial accounting and Year-End audit requirements. Review and approval of Bank reconciliations and Balance Sheet accounts. Posting the monthly payroll as per the timetable according to the monthly allocations. Consolidation and upload of the monthly cashflow to Magnitude and Power BI as per monthly timetable. Maintenance and updating of the expenses claim form template as required. Carrying out any reasonable project work/ad hoc tasks as requested. Attending training and development as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Membership of a recognised accounting professional body (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) as a newly qualified accountant. Experience of managing and mentoring a direct report through study. Experience of working with overseas offices. Hands-on approach. Willing to accept responsibility. Able to multi-task and manage changing workloads and priorities. Able to adapt to changing circumstances, re-setting priorities as necessary. Advanced Excel skills. Experience of using Financial Force or similar GL system. Willingness to travel as and when required.
