Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join a not-for-profit institution in Southampton. This part-time role involves a variety of financial accounting duties to support our financial operations.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
Manage the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Conduct reconciliations of bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
Qualifications:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Proven experience in financial accounting, preferably within the not-for-profit sector.
Strong proficiency in Excel and financial accounting software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
