Financial Accountant
Location: Spalding, Lincolnshire
Salary: A£45,000 per annum, plus bonus
The Role Our client is recruiting for a technically strong Financial Accountant to join a forward-thinking and rapidly growing company based in Spalding. As Financial Accountant, you will play an integral part of the finance team, helping to maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations while preparing accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. You will ensure continually reviewed control measures are in place to ensure integrity, accuracy, and reliability of financial records and transactions for all group companies.
Key Responsibilities Working in a key role ensuring financial reporting processes comply with current accounting standards Work with the wider finance team ensuring excellent financial accounting controls are in place and the timely reporting of company and group financial statements Liaise with internal and external Accountants in the production of statutory accounts and supporting year-end audit Assist in the administration of company share scheme and share trading process Intercompany transaction and balance confirmations with UK/overseas subsidiary companies Involvement in corporation tax and VAT matters, supporting return submissions and R&D tax credit information support Involvement in strategic company level business development projects Work with the wider business to aid development and ensure cover for own role by knowledge sharing Represent the department in companywide working groups and events
Skills and Qualifications CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified, or part qualified and actively studying Experience of working in a Financial Accounting role Possesses a desire to continually develop their technical accounting knowledge Inquisitive and demonstrates continual improvement in fulfilling their role Able to engage productively with all members of staff at all levels in the company
