What we ask Ensuring proper accounting in compliance with legal and internal guidelines to ensure correct monthly, quarterly and annual submissions in accordance with US GAAP and local accounting requirements Will be responsible for providing insight, analysis, and commentary on balance sheet performance, aiming to influence and drive decisions that improve the balance sheet position. Responsible for the timely preparation of month-end JDE accounts for UK and subsidiaries. Build a strong understanding of finance systems especially JDE and international accounting standards Help financial accountant with inventory reconciliation and cleanup Liaise directly with auditors to respond to audit queries in a timely and accurate manner. Preparation of the US GAAP balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Provide commentary on variances versus prior year, investigate discrepancies and rectify in a timely manner Continuous Improvement, actively reviewing internal processes with a view to continually improving them, identifying areas for optimization Supporting the accounting manager with monthly and ad hoc tasks as required You will need Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA) or studying towards accounting qualification Advanced Excel skills, macro knowledge will be advantageous Communicate Effectively Planning & Organisation Contracted hours are 37.5 hours over 5 days. This role is primarily office-based, with the ability to work from home two days per week. Job sharing can also be considered.
