The Financial Accounting Manager plays a key role within the finance function, overseeing accounting processes, financial controls, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This position is responsible for managing a high-performing team, driving process improvements, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. It provides critical financial oversight, working closely with key stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and ensure best practices across the accounting function. Key Responsibilities Oversee the month-end process to ensure accurate and timely financial close. Manage general ledger controls, journal postings, and reconciliation activities. Ensure accurate processing of system interfaces and financial transactions. Lead balance sheet reconciliations, payroll reconciliations, and intercompany transactions. Own financial controls, including IT general controls, master data management, and compliance with reporting standards. Deliver financial reports and disclosures in line with regulatory requirements. Lead and develop both onshore and offshore finance teams, ensuring efficiency and continuous improvement. Key Requirements A recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, CIMA, or ACCA, with relevant experience in a large finance function. Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data. Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with financial reporting. Proven leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams. Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and process-driven.
