BPAS are looking for a Financial Analyst to come & join our finance team. This role is a permanent, hybrid role, working 36 hours per week over Monday to Friday. You'll work remotely from home with travel to our Head Office once a week.

About the role

As a Financial Analyst, you'll provide detailed analysis of income & costs. Your responsibilities will include project monitoring, contracts profitability analysis, KPI analysis, & budgeting & forecasting. You'll participate in the implementation of Power BI reporting, ensuring data assurance & compliance with policies & procedures.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse financial projects, contribute to BPAS' long-term planning, & enhance your skills in financial modelling & analysis.

About you

You'll be a part-qualified or qualified accountant with finance department experience. This could be within the not-for-profit sector, but we also welcome commercially aware individuals too. Your understanding of financial accounting principles, use of KPI metrics, & proficiency in Excel will be key to success. Power BI or Excel modelling experience is desirable, & your ability to work collaboratively at all levels of an organisation will set you apart.

Main duties of the job Provide business partner support to other non-finance teams as necessary to understand and control their budgets and achieve their financial KPIs Analyse variances each month and investigate with accounts team as necessary, challenging and escalating where issues are uncovered Provide insightful commentary as necessary working with Operational managers, Support managers and the finance team, identifying and explaining underlying trends Analyse monthly activity and income activity by contract, service, and location to understand price and volume variances Manage the tracking of business cases from authorisation to implementation of projects Liaise with business case managers so they are able to maintain good financial control of project budgets, in particular for new premises and for major IT projects Budget and forecast responsibilities include the maintenance of annual and quarterly reporting Support budget and forecast coordination by liaising with cost centre managers, collating information for and from budget meetings and helping to produce variance analysis for review papers Assist the development of reports for long term financial planning and scenario analysis for support decision making and risk assessment Provide contract profitability and financial performance, for tenders and periodic review About us

Hybrid working with the expectation of travel to our Head Office once per week. Potential to have to travel more for training in the first few weeks.

£43,768 to £47,775 per annum - Depending on skills and experience
