Monthly reporting of distillery costs and cost per litre of alcohol (LOA). Organise monthly cost centre reviews, providing support and analysis identifying variances from budget. Maintain monthly operational forecasts for each distillery. Drive financial acumen across operations, building key relationships with relevant managers and key stakeholders. Identify profit improvement opportunities, offering guidance and financial support on areas of spend which can help reduce overall cost per LOA. Attend distillation site steering committee monthly meetings (SSC’s) offering support, analysis and advice as required. Prepare monthly/yearly/5 yearly forecasts for area of responsibility, supporting long term financial planning of distillery operations. Key month-end tasks, including preparing monthly journals and preparation and reporting of KPIs. Prepare data for yearly insurance renewals. Coordinate yearly fixed asset identification and verification, ensuring adherence to yearly compliance guidelines. Qualifications
Required Part qualified/Qualified accountant Experienced business partner Confident and capable in explaining complex finance analysis to non-finance stakeholders. Preferred Whisky industry background Experience using SAP (Desirable) Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build strong working relationships and work in teams. Can combine strategic business approach while managing multiple projects. Capable of challenging and influencing thinking across a broad range of stakeholders. Good analytical skills – can use data and identify the implications. Self-starter, proactive and motivated. Ability to work autonomously.
