Description
Performs a variety of professional financial duties required to analyze, verify, and reconcile financial records; prepares financial reports; provides fiscal recommendations for the assigned office or department.
Qualifications
Required Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field. One (1) year of experience in fiscal or budget management.
Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
Knowledge of the theory, methods principles, and practices of financial management and generally accepted accounting principles and pronouncement of the governmental accounting standards board. Ability to analyze and evaluate financial and budget data and methods; ability to resolve problems. Capable of preparing appropriate statements, reports, budget submissions. Ability to manage assigned funds. Ability to effectively use automated financial systems. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
