Are you looking for your next challenge? An experienced Administration Officer who is knowledgeable in Finance Administration and has a passion for helping others? Our Business Service Centre is looking for an experienced Officer to support and work to continuously improve the delivery of our Appointee Deputyship team. This is a full time, permanent post working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday. You will be home working and office working, including an office working rota where you will be expected to work in the office on average 1 day per week. What you’ll be doing:

You will be working within a small friendly team of 2 senior officers and 2 assistants to support service delivery of our clients. Under Appointeeship and Deputyship, Leicester City Council is responsible for managing the finances of people known to Adult Social Care. These are individuals who are unable to look after their finances themselves, overseeing sensitive internal and external enquiries. Monitoring people's virtual accounts to ensure that all benefit entitlement is received, people receive their weekly personal allowances, and all priority debts are paid. Responding to various forms of correspondence, issuing appropriate documentation and information, including completion of statutory forms, and reviewing court orders. What you'll need:

You should have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, being able to communicate sometimes sensitive information to your teams and other colleagues. You’ll be confident working in a customer-focused environment, including face-to-face, telephone, and written communication. With a positive nature, you’ll use your creativity to adapt your working techniques to suit your customers. You should be creative and able to problem-solve. You will be knowledgeable in Finance, Administration, or welfare/benefits and be able to demonstrate the ability to understand current statutory regulations. Using your experience working in an officer position within either a welfare benefit or finance setting, you’ll be forward-thinking, innovative, support change, and work to meet operational requirements, both as part of a team and individually.
