Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Financial Analyst

to join a lean but dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the forefront of the energy transition by working and identifying cutting-edge CCS projects. Key Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth financial modelling and analysis for CCS projects, including cash flow forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessment. Evaluate project economics and financial feasibility, considering capital expenditure, operating costs, revenue streams, and regulatory incentives. Assist in structuring and executing complex project financing deals, including debt and equity financing, tax equity, and offtake agreements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, commercial, legal, and tax, to optimize project value and mitigate risks. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and technological advancements in the CCS sector. Develop and implement financial reporting and control processes to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Successful Candidate: Relevant degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Desirable significant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, consulting or energy finance. Desirable experience in CCS in T&S business models. Proven track record in creating and assessing financial models, valuations, and risk analysis. Strong understanding of project finance principles, including debt and equity structuring, credit risk assessment, and financial covenants. Desirable strong knowledge of the energy industry, particularly in the areas of carbon capture, utilization, and storage. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Successfully worked on intensive project delivery. Self-driven and results-oriented, capable of working autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
