Compensation Specialist
The
Compensation Specialist
is responsible for providing financial planning and analysis support to the VP, Financial Planning & Analysis – who supports the Senior Leadership of Accruent. The position requires an individual who is well-versed in the use of financial analysis tools and techniques and has a strong general knowledge about business. The principal objective of the position is to help drive financial and performance reporting for all compensation streams and help the organization manage costs for their operation.
This position reports directly to the
VP, FP&A.
We are a Remote First company, occasional (10%-15%) travel to our Austin headquarters or other geographical centers of concentration may be required.
How you'll make a difference:
Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition and Business Leaders to maintain up to date and accurate compensation records for active employees and open positions. Maintain ownership of working models for forecasting salary and compensation related costs (Commission, bonus, SPIF, attrition, etc). Reconcile and forecast/model compensation and headcount, ensuring accurate data for effective decision making. Process and administer variable compensation, including sales incentive plan across multiple types of positions and quarterly/annual bonus plans. Conduct financial reviews of the company’s monthly performance for the senior management team, CFO, and others as needed. Provide financial analysis, variance analysis, and budgeting support throughout the company. Deploy new technology (such as AI/ML and ChatGPT) to streamline and accelerate reporting and analysis. What you bring to the table:
Strong oral and written
English communication skills . Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related area. Financial analysis, reporting and planning experience. Project management – ability to organize and execute complex projects. Detail oriented – natural inclination toward details. Systems administration experience – configuration oversight for and ability to do first level troubleshooting. Familiarity with payroll related accounting concepts. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Detail-oriented and good organizational skills. Great problem solving and analytical skills. Accounting and/or forecasting and planning software experience. Ability to manage time well and multi-task. Ability to work independently and cohesively with others. Preferred: Experience with forecasting tools, consolidation systems and ERP’s, specifically OneStream, NetSuite, Salesforce. Future Development:
