About Our Client Our exclusive client is a large, international business with a strong brand name and market presence. They are growing their accountancy and financial reporting function, and this will be a key role to support the business. Job Description As Financial Control Manager, you will be a key member of the financial accounting function, responsible for the balance sheet reconciliations for the organisation. You will have a strong understanding of treasury and tax, in order to provide a variety of additional support to the wider team. Key duties include: Managing balance sheet reconciliations project on new software. Ensuring there is a thorough and robust review process for the balance sheet and supporting management information. Developing insightful commentary and identifying risks and opportunities within the balance sheet for board reporting. Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting. Actively working to optimise the control environment, including improving and refreshing supporting documentation, working with the group internal audit function, and leading on internal engagement with support from head office. Becoming a key user and administrator of all financial reporting and accounting IT systems and controls. Liaising with the tax manager to provide coverage and support, including controlling and managing all indirect tax submissions. The Successful Applicant The successful Financial Control Manager should have: A formal accountancy qualification - likely to be ACA / ACCA. Excellent organisational skills. Strong communication skills. The ability to work within a large, complex, matrix organisation. Experience of change management. The ability to develop and improve finance systems. Multi-currency exposure. What's on Offer Base salary of circa £65,000- £75,000. Excellent benefits package including Pension, Bonus, Medical, Dental and other corporate benefits.
