4c Executive is delighted to have been exclusively retained by an ambitious and growing retail furniture business. As our client continues to grow and expand their operations across the Island of Ireland, they are seeking to appoint a Financial Controller to be based at their Belfast HQ. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the finance team and ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and projections. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure financial accountability, and ensure compliance. The post-holder will be detail-oriented and possess the desire to scrutinise and analyse complex information as well as demonstrate the ability to build effective internal relationships. They will also display the following experience and skills: Significant post qualification experience managing finance functions at a senior level within a fast-paced, commercial organisation and full financial responsibility for producing statutory accounts and reports. Experience of working closely with senior leadership to drive financial strategy, performance, and governance. Proven track record of working with a diverse range of stakeholders and developing effective relationships as well as experience of presenting at Board level. Evidence of successfully managing and developing a Finance Team. Hold a professional accountancy qualification – ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
