Our client, a prominent player in the supply chain and logistics sector, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Controller to join their team. This position will be fully office based in Troon. Managing a transactional finance team, this role is pivotal in overseeing financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making. Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, you will support group financial initiatives from cashflow forecasting to implementing new processes and controls.

Your main responsibilities will include: Overall responsibility for the delivery and performance of all allocated workstreams and transactional processes Ensuring the team deliver agreed service levels Reviewing, planning, and implementing a change programme to improve efficiencies of people and processes Management of cashflow and reporting working capital requirements Managing and developing a team of AP & AR administrators to deliver timely invoice management and credit control Managing relationships with customers and suppliers Providing support for internal and external audit processes Providing data for management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and ad hoc reports Ensuring relevant governance structures, policies, and processes are followed to drive continuous improvement Supporting the Group Head of Finance with ad-hoc projects and initiatives Responsible for office facilities management Applicants will ideally have proven experience within a previous financial controller or similar position. Qualified and suitably qualified by experience applicants will be considered. It is important that you can demonstrate the ability to manage and lead a team, as well as manage AP/AR. It is vital to have excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders across the business, in order to achieve the highest level of customer service at all times. Likewise, applicants will be analytical with a strong problem-solving ability to continuously develop and improve controls and processes.
