Financial Controller

The Role

With a direct reporting line to the FD and the Board of Directors, the Financial Controller is a people-centric role that will be primarily responsible for the deliverance of sound and timely financial management in terms of monthly and yearly financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business plan preparation, analysis, the management and further development of internal control policies and procedures, cost control and implementation of positive improvements. This must be conducted in an empathetic, collaborative, pragmatic and open way in context with the goals of the business. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA Accountant looking to progress their career working for a dynamic business where you can add value.

As well as the Board of Directors and management teams, the successful candidate will also be required to work closely with key stakeholders with whom it is essential that excellent relationships are forged and maintained.

The Financial Controller position is a highly visible role within the business and will require a clear communicator who possesses excellent people skills and approachability alongside strong influencing abilities and consistency of approach. Allied to this, the candidate must bring an analytical approach and commercial eye for detail, assisting the Directors to spot areas of opportunity for the driving of performance, profitability, customer delight, efficiency and harmonious working relationships, whilst mitigating financial risks to the business at all times.

A background in systems project and development would be advantageous.
