Financial Controller

Kingscroft has been asked to recruit for a Financial Controller to support the activity of an outstanding manufacturing business. As the ideal candidate, you will have experience working closely with a Managing Director and business partners, as well as managing an accounts team to achieve operational and financial targets. You should have experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical services business and understand complex, production-oriented supply chains. Your role will involve: Preparation of the monthly Management accounts. Supporting the MD and Senior Management team with PL and Cost reporting. Assisting the organization with budgets, strategy, and business planning. Maintaining part-by-part cost of sales analysis. Supporting business functions with data and KPIs. Managing the accounts team in sales and purchase ledger roles. Reporting on monthly spend variances and recommending corrective actions. Monitoring accruals/prepayments. Year-end reporting. Ensuring statutory compliance. Conducting various month-end group reporting. Agreeing inter-company balances. Ensuring stock take procedures are followed and reporting on slow-moving stock. Performing FX Analysis - impact on costing and supply chain. Monitoring Duty/VAT on imports. Creating and updating the chart of accounts to reflect management activities. Preparing monthly R&D reports. Conducting credit card and expense analysis.
