A global leader in manufacturing is seeking a Financial Controller for its Carlisle plant, responsible for overseeing financial performance, managing internal controls, and leading a team of three finance professionals. The role requires at least 5 years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment, strong financial control skills, and a relevant accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). Client Details My client is a leading global manufacturer. They serve a wide range of industries, partnering with some of the world's most respected companies, and operate with a strong focus on sustainability and continuous growth. Description Oversee financial key performance indicators, ensuring adherence to Group accounting standards, USGAAP, and local regulations. Maintain a robust internal controls framework and ensure compliance with internal policies. Lead and manage the finance team. Develop and review budgets and rolling forecasts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Track and analyse manufacturing costs, identifying and addressing variances from standard costs. Assist other plant departments in evaluating their cost performance. Identify financial issues, implement corrective actions, and monitor progress. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to achieve excellence in financial performance. Ensure the financial statements are accurate, in line with internal procedures and controls. Guarantee compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. Profile Qualified accountant. Manufacturing experience. Ability to lead and develop a team. Able to work to strict deadlines & strong time management. Strong business partnering & rapport building skills. Happy being 100% site based. Job Offer Salary circa £70,000-£80,000. Company car.
