CMA are partnering with an Engineering business based in Chichester to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to join the team on a permanent basis. The Financial Controller will lead the finance team and undertake responsibility on all statutory accounts, analysis and monthly management reporting. What will the Financial Controller role involve? Reporting to the Managing Director, the key responsibilities of the Financial Controller position will include: Preparation of statutory accounts and all statutory returns including VAT, ensuring they are presented timely and accurately; Lead the finance team including conducting regular one-to-ones and development meetings; Create weekly and monthly reports to identify trends, sales analysis, KPI’s; Lead on the budgeting and forecasting process for the business, liaising extensively with key non-finance stakeholders; Support the Senior Management Team in commercial and strategic decision making through the provision of accurate financial reports and ad hoc projects and analysis when required. Suitable Candidate for the Financial Controller vacancy: Applicants for the position will hold a full accountancy qualification and possess a strong, hands-on technical skill-set; Previous experience of undertaking a Financial Controller position, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment, will be essential as will a proven track record of managing teams successfully; Excellent IT Skills including experience of ERP systems and advanced Excel will also be required.
