Due to an internal retirement this growing apparel company are seeking to add a Commercial Financial Controller to their team. Working closely with the Commercial Director and MD, you will take ownership of the finance function, act as a key member of the senior leadership team.
Having expanded their ecommerce and working with retailers such as Amazon and Walmart, this is an exciting time to join and help boost growth even further.
You will be responsible for a small finance function while driving overall financial performance, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring sound financial governance.
This is a permanent opportunity based in Belfast.

The Role:
Preparation of accounts (currently quarterly but moving to monthly)
Liaising with auditors and 3rd party stakeholder such as banks, lenders, insurers and suppliers
Working closely with the Commercial Director to agree commercial pricing
Preparing financial forecasts and budgets
Analysing and providing commentary on the performance of commercial contracts
Conducting financial analysis to help drive performance and report to board level
Overseeing FX transactions
Reviewing M&A opportunities that present themselves
Providing ad-hoc due diligence where required
The Person:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively communicate with senior stakeholders
Experience in a multi-currency environment is highly desirable
