We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced

Financial Controller

to join our team at our headquarters in

Dumfries, Scotland , reporting directly to the Managing Director.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded accountant with a solid understanding of the financial controls and processes essential for a manufacturing company. We seek a candidate with a background in a similar role who is eager to contribute to the growth and development of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Management

- Development and preparation of the annual budgets and operational overheads. Strategic long-term planning support to the MD to align with financial goals and objectives. Financial Management & Reporting

- Oversee the company's day to day finances, including cash flow, debtors, creditors, overhead and profit margin/EBIDTA optimisation. Prepare monthly management accounts, draft profit and loss to submit to the group finance department. Commercial Business Support

- Assist in evaluating business opportunities, pricing strategies and contract negotiations. Confidential Administrative Support

- Provide direct assistance to the MD with sensitive business matters, including correspondence, document preparation and supporting decision making processes. Team Leadership & Development

- Manage, mentor and develop the accounts finance team ensuring a high level of performance and growth. Person Specification:

Accounting qualification - ideally ACA, ACCA or CIMA with previous experience within a Finance Manager / Controller capacity Proven experience working in an entrepreneurial business or a business who have experience rapid growth which has tested financial structure Technically strong accounting skills Experience of working with ERP systems Advanced MS Excel Personable and confident Ability to self-motivate Methodical and organised To work to a high level of accuracy and with a keen eye for detail Able to work to regular deadlines and timetables Salary & Benefits:

We are a well-known and respected mechanical engineering business offering design, fabrication, installation, repair and maintenance services. We are renowned for our repair and maintenance service offering, providing a range of on- and off-site services, including maintenance service programmes, fitting work around shutdown windows and quieter periods to minimise disruption to the client's operations.

We work with clients to provide bespoke design solutions with a team of highly qualified and experienced engineers working from an extensive site, including a fabrication shop, metalwork, milling, lathe, roller and compressor equipment. Our business is approved for welding and specialises in fabricating steelwork, tanks, vessels, pipework and machinery.

Our services include engineering design and solutions, fabrication, machining, milling, turning and grinding and using computer-aided design (CAD), 2D drawing and 3D modelling. We work with clients to understand requirements and to solve problems, offering appropriate solutions
